Meet our Staff & Coaches
DMV Impact coaches are dedicated volunteers committed to developing athletes throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. They emphasize growth on and off the court by teaching life skills, discipline, self-belief, leadership and strong character. DMV Impact has also achieved remarkable success at the elite level of AAU grassroots competition.
Shelita Aldrich, Founder
A native of Arlington, Virginia, Shelita began her basketball journey competing at the middle school level in Virginia and the high school level in Florida. She later launched her coaching career with Arlington County Parks, Sports, and Recreation, leading boys’ and girls’ teams across all age groups. Since 2011, she has also served as a basketball official, working games from recreational leagues to high school competition. From 2018 to 2023, she served as an officials coordinator and league scheduler for Fairfax Stars and contributed her expertise to Premier 1.
Above all, Shelita is dedicated to teaching the values of education, leadership, family, maturity, and essential life skills. She strives to help young athletes compete with maximum effort, build discipline, and cultivate a genuine love for the game as they prepare for the next level—both on the court and in life.

Coach Chris Harvin has spent more than ten years developing strong fundamentals and skills in young athletes. He teaches our young men and women that integrity and sportsmanship are the foundation of success. Coach Harvin is committed to helping athletes understand the importance of winning in life, not just in sports. We have the tools to guide our youth, but they must embrace a winning mentality—both on and off the court.
