Tryout registration is coming soon for all DMV teams for the 2026 Spring/Summer AAU Season. All players must register, pay the tryout fee and attend tryouts in order to be considered for a 2026 Spring/Summer team. Tryout dates/times/locations will be listed below for all Boys and Girls teams as they are determined. Tryout dates will begin at the end of January and early February and may continue into March for our older teams. We recommend that players attend each tryout for their age group, however only one tryout is required. We complete teams after tryouts have been completed. We send out acceptances by email. As we often have to complete two teams for an age group, and have to contend with the fact that many players may be trying out with multiple clubs, the process may take a up to 2 days after tryouts are over. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to complete the teams as quickly as possible.
In the spring/summer, our teams play in tournaments, which will consist of Saturday and Sunday play. Coaches will select the tournaments based upon their team skill level. Local teams will play in the DMV area; other teams will play in the DMV area with occasional overnights to large basketball venues such as Spooky Nook, Pittsburgh, Boo Williams and Orlando, Florida.
Coaches will provide tentative tournament schedules upon selection to a team. In general, tournament schedules are not available the Wednesday or Thursday before the scheduled tournament.
Below are the age guidelines for DMV Impact teams for the 2025-2026 AAU Season which runs from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026. Please review carefully before you register your player to tryout for a particular team. While DMV Impact will attempt to review all tryout registrations to confirm a player complies with the age requirements of a team that he/she is trying out for, it is ultimately the parent/player responsibility to sign up for the correct aged team.

BOYS 7 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 7 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 8 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 8 on August 31, 2026
BOYS 9 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 10 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 11 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 12 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 13 & UNDER DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2026.
BOYS 14 & UNDER/8th Grade DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2026. (older 8th graders may tryout in this age group as our top teams in this division often form as an 8th Grade team which allow for some age exceptions)
BOYS 15U/9TH GRADE DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2026. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 15U/9th Grade Division.
BOYS 16U/10TH GRADE DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2026. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th Grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 16U/10th Grade Division.
BOYS 17U/11TH GRADE DIVISION
An athlete can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2026. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 17U/11th Grade Division
